Hi Everyone!
September usually means back to school time, though I know some of us are unlucky enough to have to teach year-round.
Even if you do teach year-round, it's highly likely that you've gotten an influx of new students. I hope that you're having fun getting to know each other.
Because of this, you may want to return to some of the basics. Don't forget about the daily lesson plan. That's always a good place to start. You may also have a lot of new students who are afraid of a new teacher. That means it's a good time to bring out the puppets.
In other news, my husband and I will be conducting "English at Sea" seminars for families who want to study English while vacationing on a cruise ship around Hawaii. If you have any students who might be interested, please let them know about it. We can accommodate all ages, but of course always love having the little ones!! The website for that is http://www.bestsmiletravel.com . It is currently only in Japanese, but the English version will be up shortly.
Finally, over the next few days, I'll be redesigning the website and switching web hosts. Hopefully it will all go seamlessly, but you never know with these things. There might be a few hiccups. Also with the new host, there's a new mailing list server...I'm going to add your email to the list, but you will have to reconfirm. I sincerely hope that you'll stay with me!
